THE VOYAGES

 

Anticipated voyages will consist of six nights and seven days aboard ship, with the destinations and focus of the charter at the discretion of the charter client. The captain retains final responsibility for the safety of the vessel, the client and the crew, and has final say over the operation of the vessel with this in mind. Voyages of any duration are available and will be individually quoted upon request.

NOTE: It is recommended no person under 14 years of age be included in charter parties proceeding into the high Arctic.

Specifications: 58' overall by 12'-11" beam x 5'6" draft x 45 GWT. Diesel powered, diesel furnace/hotwater heated throughout. Marine electrical 8KWh generating system.

THE VESSEL

 

Comfortable North Sea type auxiliary diesel ketch-rigged steel hulled motorsailor.   The steel hull enables the vessel operate with disdain for ice and other hazards which sometimes keeps lesser vessels in port.  Built and equipped to withstand almost any sea or weather conditions, the vessel can handle anything you may ask of her.  Vessel capacity is six adults in separate berthing, two to a stateroom.  Vessel is well heated and comfortable in every respect.  Menus are first class!

 

An ideal vessel for those who wish to experience the spectacular vistas and wildlife in far-flung places anywhere from Mexico to the high Arctic.  Ideal for exploring, sightseeing, research, diving, photography, birding, kayaking, etc.

 

Vessel includes following equipment & gear:  Diving compressor,  survival suits, dinghy/tender.

THE INTERIOR: This vessel is very well equipped and fitted out with all the creature comforts a discerning client may desire. From a roomy saloon area to a fully equipped galley, heated throughout, with individual built-in berths for guests. Not terribly fancy, but robust and sturdy, warm and dry. A welcome haven after a days activities!

  

THE CREW: The captain is a former Alaska state trooper, licensed to 100 tons. Second captain also holds 100 ton license and has over 15 years Arctic experience with the US Coast Guard. Either skipper is fully qualified to operate the vessel in the absence of the other for any reason. Vessel is licensed & insured for Arctic operations. Nothing will be spared to insure safety and client comfort.
